The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District IV has commenced a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for County Road (C.R.) 510 in Indian River County from C.R. 512 to 58th Avenue. C.R. 510 is classified as an Urban Principal Arterial and is critical in facilitating the west-east movement of traffic in Indian River County as it connects Interstate 95 (I-95) to State Road (S.R.) A1A. The PD&E Study is evaluating preliminary engineering and environmentally feasible solutions, such as widening CR 510 from two to four lanes, in order to address the future capacity, operational and safety needs of the roadway.
